Hatha yoga is one of Type of yoga. It is originated from yoga postures and breathing exercises that were used in preparation for meditation (during meditation you have to indeed be in the same position for too long). Hatha yoga is a classical form of yoga in which control of the body through breathing, exercise and relaxation are central. Dynamic postures as the sun salutation alternate with static postures. Ashtanga Yoga is an intense type of yoga where you performed the same series of poses each time. You activate at the start your Bandha’s (you pull your belly button in and up). And you activate the Ujjayi breathing to support the postures, which sounds like roar of the sea. You start with sun salutation followed by active, physical movements that are performed with great concentration. At the end of the lesson there is room for relaxation.

You meditate as if in a yoga posture, it can be a huge challenge for you to stay longer in the same position. Yin yoga is a good counterpart to the active forms of yoga such as Ashtanga or Power yoga (Yan).
Power yoga is an intensive dynamic type of yoga: Power says it all! It is derived from Ashtanga Yoga. Physical postures follow one another and are supported by breathing. In power yoga, yoga series are not fixed but vary by class. To know more about Power yoga Click Here
